1. Killing Heidi

Heidi hasn’t been killed – Ella and Jesse Hooper have her back on the road after a 10-year break. This is an 18+ event and you’ll need photo ID for entry.

2. Lights on the Hill convoy

All roads lead to the Gatton Show Grounds for this annual memorial convoy weekend . The event includes truck displays, market stalls, live music, children’s rides and the AFL and NRL grand finals on the big screen.

WHEN: Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October

WHERE: Departing Citiswich, Ashburn Road, Bundamba at 10am on Saturday

COST: Saturday entry is $25 for adults and $15 for pensioners and children 6-15, Sunday entry is gold coin donation

3. Ipswich CBD Food Fair

Food trucks, free entertainment (and plenty of free parking) return for this monthly celebration of culinary creations.

4. Disney Pixar Cars Pit Stop

Mack the Transporter and Lightning McQueen lead this Cars activity zone full of challenges, tracks and craft.

5. Grandchester Express

Get on board this two and a half hour return steam train journey to historic Grandchester Station.

9. A Night In Vienna
