Springfield Markets
The markets are on for Australia Day, so hop on down to Robelle Domain Parklands at Springfield. These markets usually start at 3pm, so they’re kicking off an hour early today.

Australia Day Free Tribute Show
The Prime Ministers of Australia are slated to perform two hours of Aussie classics, featuring tribute band Whole Lotta ACDC. Things keep rolling in the sports bar with 9 Lives from 9.30pm.

Family Funday at Racehorse Hotel
Beat the heat this Australia Day at the Racehorse. A dunk tank will be set up so bring a towel if someone in the family is a good shot because you will end up in the water. Lamington and pie eating competitions for adults and children are also planned. There will be Aussie themed specials.

Free entry to Ipswich City Council pools
If things are heating up this Australia Day, it’s fine to take the family to any Council-owned pool – free of charge. Pools are at Bundamba, Leichhardt, Goodna and Rosewood, and free entry time is between 10am-4pm. There will even be a lucky door prize to be won at each pool.
