Springfield Parkway Road Upgrade – Stage 2
Description
Council is designing an upgrade of Springfield Parkway (from Topaz Road to the Centenary Highway) and Springfield Greenbank Arterial Road (from Springfield Parkway to Sinnathamby Boulevard) in Springfield. These roads will be upgraded from two lanes to four. The project is identified in iGO - The City of Ipswich Transport Plan and will be completed in three separate stages. Stage 1 and 3 of the project has been delivered. Stage 2 of the project runs along Springfield Parkway from Topaz Road to just north of the Hymba Yumba Indigenous Community Hub. A shared pathway will also be constructed from Topaz Road to Ashby Close (on the northern side).
Status
Stage 2 early works and service relcations are underway.
What to expect
Night works, changed traffic conditions, detours, slight delays, traffic control, sections of the footpath will be unavailable, increase in noise from machinery
