East Ipswich Drainage Rehabilitation – Stage 2

Description

Council is undertaking the rehabilitation of existing stormwater drainage infrastructure in the East Ipswich Catchment – Stage 2. This includes undertaking drainage and road pavement rehabilitaiton works on Northcote and England Streets, East Ipswich.

Status

Construction commenced in June 2026. Council has temporarily limited construction activities to allow necessary investigations, reviews, and safety assessments to be undertaken within the project area. We will be able to provide more information around when construction works are anticipated to recommence once these assessments are finalised.

What to expect

You may experience changed traffic conditions, delays in access in and out of properties, road closures, detours, slight delays, traffic control, some night works as necessary and an increase in noise from machinery
