Council closures over Christmas and New Year

2021-12-21 · Council · Featured · Life · Now

Some Ipswich City Council services will take a short break over the Christmas and New Year period, while essential services including waste collection and Council’s emergency call centre will remain unchanged.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said there’s plenty for families and visitors to see and do across the city, as many community venues and facilities will remain open outside of public holidays.

“On behalf of Council, I would like to wish you and your loved ones all the best over the holidays. May Santa deliver, Mother Nature play her part and our city continue to show our strength and spirit in 2022,” Mayor Harding said.

“Council’s after-hours emergency call centre will continue to operate 24 hours a day through the usual customer service number 3810 6666.

“Any non-urgent matters can be logged any time through the online service portal on Council’s website at ipswich.qld.gov.au .”
