1. Ripley Catalyst Funding Workshop
This is a special workshop to determine if Council will make a submission to access the Catalyst Infrastructure Fund. The Catalyst Infrastructure Fund 2022 is a Queensland Government initiative to invest in urban infrastructure that unlocks development, generates construction activity and creates long-term employment.
RECOMMENDATION:
That councillors consider the matters contained in the special workshop.
MATTERS ARISING:
Councillors raised questions on the Catalyst Infrastructure Fund 2022 guidelines and funding available to local government. Councillors discussed the priorities within scope of the Fund guidelines.
General Manager Planning and Regulatory Services to seek clarification from Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) on the Catalyst Infrastructure Fund 2022 funding available to local government. Specifically, whether the Council is eligible to access developer contributions quarantined for the relevant Ripley Valley Priority Development Area infrastructure. This information is to be shared with Councillors once obtained.
