Three Plus on behalf of REMONDIS, have developed a Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
The Plan will support the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) as part of their plans to develop a Clean Energy and Resource Recovery Precinct, including an Energy From Waste facility, on their existing landfill and recycling site at Swanbank.
The purpose of the EIS consultation will be to engage stakeholders in informed discussion about what the project may mean to the local area and the region.
The draft Engagement Plan has been provided to Council for comments.
Councillor Nicole Jonic returned to the meeting at 11.41am.

The Chief Executive Officer (Mark Smith) of Waste Recycling Industry Association of Queensland provided a presentation regarding the ‘Challenges of Waste’.

This workshop is to discuss proposed management and operation of the council owned off-street civic square car park with a focus on developing an agreed position on the car park’s pricing regime and hours of operation in the context of its key role in activating the Nicholas Street Precinct.
