An online community engagement model, operated through Shape Your Ipswich, has been developed to provide a more inclusive and contemporary approach to engaging with the community.
MATTERS ARISING:
Acting Engagement Manager to progress with model to November committee; commencement of preparations for an end of year thank you event for CRG members and to provide the Councillors with a copy of the drafts of the community facing engagement collateral for the program that will be further developed for 2022.
Councillors agreed to following consultative/community interest meetings – Seniors; Access and Inclusion; Heritage and that these groups would meet twice a year.

This is a report concerning electric scooters (e-scooters). In particular, the report has been prepared to facilitate further discussion in relation to e-scooters for the Ipswich local government area, including the development of a policy position and consideration of a Pilot for of e-scooters in Springfield Central.

3. Update on Ripley Valley PDA - Workshop Part 2
The purpose of this workshop is to discuss challenges with the timely delivery of infrastructure in the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area. It has been identified that there is a gap between the infrastructure needs of the PDA and the availability of funds for the delivery of infrastructure. This is part 2 of the workshop, following part 1 which occurred on 7 September 2021.
MATTERS ARISING:
The Development Planning Manager to write to the Deputy Premier advising that Ipswich City Council has a desire to investigate innovative options for funding of municipal infrastructure with assistance from the State. The letter is to also outline the preliminary concerns Council has with the Development Charges Offset Plan (DCOP) for the Ripley Valley. The letter is to discuss the invitations to create a Ripley Valley working group with the Director-General of the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning .
