1. National Fire Ant Eradication Program Collaborative Agreement to treat Council land
The National Fire Ant Eradication Program is seeking to brief Council on the work being undertaken by the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce (FAST) in the region and to discuss the merits of establishing a collaborative agreement, where Council staff treat relevant Council land with Fire Ant Bait supplied by the FAST.
The meeting will be attended by the following external guests:
· Mr Bob Gee, Director General, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries
· Mr Lance Perry, Program Executive, National Fire Ant Eradication Program
· Mr Malcolm Letts, Deputy Director-General, Biosecurity Queensland, and Chief Biosecurity Officer
· Mr Eddie Jebreen, Director, Fire Ant Suppression Team, Biosecurity Queensland
· Mr Andrew Langford, Director, Strategy and Science, National Fire Ant Eradication Program

Councillors in attendance noted and discussed the information presented by the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce (FAST) and agreed to provide support for the program.
