2. First Nations Industry Yarns Event
This a report concerning the inaugural First Nations Industry Yarns Event to be hosted by Council on 30 November 2023. The goal of the event is to highlight the cultural knowledge and experiences faced by First Nations businesses and employees.
The First Nations Industry Yarns event is aligned with Theme 3 of the Accord, which focuses on education, employment and skill development, as well as Theme 4, which pertains to business development.
By highlighting the cultural knowledge and experiences of First Nations communities across our city, this event aims to contribute to the advancement of education, employment opportunities, skill development and business growth within these communities.

This is a report concerning Council’s partnership with the Ipswich Region Chamber of Commerce for the 2023-2024 financial year at $35,000 plus GST.
