Council had preliminary discussions around rates concession policies.
MATTERS ARISING:
Chief Financial Officer to undertake further discussion around the rates concession policies with the members of the Governance and Transparency Committee and also provide a report with the outcomes to a future workshop.

The following report concerns the councillor workshop which aims to further develop and augment Council’s draft Sustainability Policy post-community consultation. The purpose of a Sustainability Policy is to strengthen and clarify Council’s commitment to sustainability, specifically by setting out principles which support long-term corporate decision-making that considers sustainable benefits to the natural environment, economic viability and social wellbeing. This policy will set the direction for Council in the development of a revised Sustainability Strategy.
