This briefing is for the Council of Mayors South East Queensland (CoMSEQ) Chief Executive Officer to provide an update and overview of the Regional Residual Waste Treatment Project, as a deliverable of the SEQ Waste Management Plan. To date, the discussions around residual waste treatment solutions have included consideration of a large-scale regional Energy from Waste (EfW) facility.

6. Resident Access to Road Reserve and Other Council Land

6. Resident Access to Road Reserve and Other Council Land

This report reviews the current bond requirements for accessing road reserves and other council-controlled land.

It also seeks to workshop Council’s approach to managing public access to fenced and gated areas, including unformed road reserves, drainage corridors, and natural areas.

The aim is to ensure access processes balance community needs with risk, asset protection and operational and efficiency.

Councillors in attendance noted and discussed on the information presented on the Resident Access to Road Reserve and other Council Land. Feedback was provided and a short policy will be drafted to be discussed at a further Councillor workshop.

Councillor Marnie Doyle arrived at the meeting via audio-link at 12.16 pm.

Councillor Andrew Antoniolli left the meeting at 1.42 pm.

Councillor Andrew Antoniolli returned to the meeting at 1.47 pm.

The meeting adjourned at 2.31 pm.

The meeting reconvened at 2.44 pm with all councillors in attendance except for Deputy Mayor Nicole Jonic.

Councillor Marnie Doyle left the meeting at 3.34 pm.

The meeting closed at 3.50 pm.
