Council of Mayors (SEQ) CEO, Mr Scott Smith, will provide an update on the work, achievements and emerging opportunities of CoMSEQ on behalf its member councils, including Ipswich City Council.

2. Healthy Land and Water Annual Report Card Briefing
Healthy Land and Water (HLW) as the Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) body in partnership with the Department of Resources and the Department of Environment and Science carry out an annual Ecosystem Health Monitoring Program for the waterways across the region. The result of the program is announced and issued annually in the form of a waterway report card. This briefing session will be attended by senior Healthy Land and Water Management team to present and discuss the findings of the report card, and the grades for waterways within Ipswich LGA, prior to public release.

Councillors queried how much sediment runs off from the Bremer River and if a map could be provided to outline the locations.
Councillors also queried as to what month the readings were taken, and if information could be provided comparing flood year to flood year and include the years 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Healthy Land and Water to provide the Councillors with information on how much sediment runs off from the Bremer River, along with what month the readings were taken and also a comparison of flood year to flood year including the years 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Deputy Mayor Madsen was not present for Item 3.

Mr James Sturges has requested an opportunity to brief the Mayor and Councillors on a proposal to establish a Community Energy Zone in the West Moreton region.

Councillors in attendance noted the information presented on the proposal to establish a Community Energy Zone in the West Moreton region.

4. Bi-monthly Strategic Priorities
This is a regular bi-monthly strategic priority meeting for the CEO, Mayor and Councillors to meet and discuss a range of strategic matters including opportunities and risks.
MATTERS ARISING:
Councillors continued with discussions on progress towards the community vision for 2041 the implementation of strategic initiatives and catalyst projects in i-Future. Councillors discussed strategic priorities and current and emerging risks in preparation for the development of the 2023-2024 Annual Plan and Long Term Financial Forecast.
PROCEDURAL MOTIONS AND FORMAL MATTERS
The meeting commenced at 9.02 am.
Councillor Milligan arrived at the meeting at 9.04 am.
Councillor Jonic joined the meeting at 9.05 am (via audio-link).
Deputy Mayor Madsen joined the meeting at 9.15 am (via audio-link).
The meeting adjourned at 9.18 am and reconvened at 10.34 am with all councillors in attendance except Councillors Jonic, Doyle and Deputy Mayor Madsen.
Councillor Doyle returned to the meeting at 10.45 am.
Councillor Doyle left the meeting at 10.52 am.
Councillor Doyle returned to the meeting at 11.18 am.
Councillor Jonic returned to the meeting at 11.22 am.
The meeting adjourned at 11.49 am and reconvened at 12.46 pm with all councillors in attendance.
The meeting closed at 2.32 pm.
