1. THOUGHT LEADERS - BULL AND BEAR ECONOMICS
As part of the thought leaders series, presentations have been arranged by external presenters. These workshops are delivered by an individual or group of presenters who are subject matter experts. The intention of these sessions is to provide the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors with information on core topics to deal with planning issues, which may inform policy development into the future.
These are intended to be a briefing session with some opportunity for workshop style discussion. There will not be a need to make decisions during the discussion.

2. FOGO Trial progress report
In September 2021, Ipswich Waste Services (IWS) commenced a FOGO Trial to test in-house waste management infrastructure (including kitchen caddies) in conjunction with a series of sequenced education, marketing and incentive programs aimed at reducing contamination and improving organic diversion and recycling rates.
Note: This item was postponed and will be presented at a future Councillor Briefing Session.
Councillor Marnie Doyle was not present for the commencement of Item 3.

Risk and Insurance have been asked to provide a briefing to the Mayor and Councillors regarding on overview of Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance Policies and Claims Processes.

Representatives from Queensland Treasury Corporation attending to provide update to Mayor and Councillors on the decision-making model for the management and ownership of the Nicholas Street Precinct (NSP).

The Councillors in attendance noted and discussed the update information presented by the Queensland Treasury Corporation representatives.

The meeting commenced at 9.00 am.
The meeting adjourned at 10.05 am.
The meeting reconvened at 10.32 am with all councillors in attendance except Deputy Mayor Jacob Madsen.
Mayor Teresa Harding left the meeting at 11.09 am.
The meeting adjourned at 11.29 am.
The meeting reconvened at 1.34 pm with all councillors in attendance except for Councillors Doyle and Jonic.
Councillor Doyle returned to the meeting at 2.03pm.
The meeting adjourned at 2.13pm.
The meeting reconvened at 3.00pm with all councillors in attendance except for Deputy Mayor Jacob Madsen.
The meeting closed at 4.30 pm.
