Part 1 - The purpose of this briefing session is to provide Councillors with an update on the recent announcement by the Queensland State Government on changes to the Qld Waste Levy and Waste Levy Rebate.
Part 2- Provide an update of the current program of work related to the waste infrastructure upgrade, with particular focus on Rosewood Recycling and Refuse Centre.
MATTERS ARISING:
Councillors noted the update provided by officers on potential impacts for the Ipswich Local Government Area and the importance of the implementation of Council’s Resource Recovery Strategy, specifically the focus on re-use and recycling and responsible diversion from landfill.
