MATTERS ARISING:
That the Senior Engineer – Traffic Systems arrange a face-to-face meeting with Councillors as soon as possible to discuss the details of a pilot program such as an appropriate location, the companies who would be involved and costs with a possible further workshop with councillor prior to a report being provided to the May 2021 Ordinary Council Meeting.

This is a report regarding a proposed rural roads framework. It outlines a proposed methodology for upgrading unmaintained roads to a maintained road standard, the maintenance costs and activities associated with managing gravel roads, and provides information on alternate treatments for sealing of gravel roads.
MATTERS ARISING:
That the Manager Infrastructure and Strategy provide Councillors with the following:
· an order of costs for the top 10 roads that would be suitable for sealing
· provide an order of costs for council to consider as part of the capital portfolio build process including dust suppression works
· A glossary of terms outlining road terminologies ie unmaintained, sealed and gravel roads, etc to provide a better understanding during budget discussions.
