This briefing session provides details of an offer to allow Queensland Councils to refinance existing debt to free-up cash flow and subsequently use that cash flow to provide stimulus to the economy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are a range of issues and interactions from a cultural heritage perspective that are relevant to Council’s role as both a Local Government and an assessment manager. These relationships are complicated and a broad awareness of both Council’s role as well as the function and purpose of the various groups is critical to navigating the relationship between Council, Native Title Parties, Traditional owner Groups and other interested groups.
